Bible Distribution - Organize a Project in Your Community

National Religious Freedom Day – Free Bible Distribution

Each year, the President declares January 16th to be Religious Freedom Day, and calls upon Americans to "observe this day through appropriate events and activities in homes, schools, and places of worship."  One way to recognize this day is to provide for the free distribution of Bibles at public schools.  This has been done successfully in Collier County, FL by World Changers of Florida, Inc.

If you would like to explore whether a Bible distribution program can work in your school district contact us at info@ilc-inc.org or call 239-825-0145.  We will research local rules and make initial contact with the proper authorities.  Once a “Green” light is given the following steps apply:

Organizing the Distribution Program in Your Community:

Identify your local project team and select a local project leader.

Communicate with local churches to recruit volunteers and obtain financial support.

Communicate with Youth Ministers so that Christian students are aware that the event is taking place at their high school.

Work out the distribution logistics with primary school board contact to include:

  • The date and time
  • List the names of participating schools
  • What are the rules for school entry on the day of distribution
  • Identify any resources required to make the event meaningful for students (table, chairs, signage, etc.)
  • The location of the table which should be in a high traffic area to insure good visibility.
  • What, if any, collateral materials can be included.

Please contact World Changers of Florida for information on past events.

Inspired Learning Center, Inc. (ILC) was formed as a charitable organization under 501(c)(3) for the purpose of supporting Bible distribution projects as well as other faith-based educational initiatives.  Upon approval of your local Bible distribution project, ILC will create a web-based networking site for your local project.

Example: http://www.ilc-inc.org/group/bible-distribution-orange-cty-fl

This site will allow you to register volunteers and automate electronic communication among your volunteers.  ILC will also create an automated contribution capability specifically for your local project.  ILC will assess a 10% fee to cover credit card settlement charges and website hosting costs.  The funds raised for your community project through ILC will be used to purchase Bibles for your project.  The Bibles will be shipped directly to the local project leader.

Register at www.ilc-inc.org, a temporary password will be emailed to you.  Login and change the password if you wish and then complete your entire profile (all tabs).  Be sure to join the Bible distribution group for your community.

Preparation & Distribution

  • Prepare table signs for each high school announcing “Free Bibles, Take One, Compliments of World Changers”
  • Form 3 person teams (2 minimum, not husband and wife) for each high school participating in the program
  • Team leader makes arrangements to obtain 300 Bibles for the assigned school
  • Team meeting to affix World Changers sticker to all Bibles
  • On the day of distribution arrive at the high school at least 30-minutes prior to the start time.  Ask for the Principal.
  • Follow instructions of school administrator assigned to assist you
  • DO NOT INTERACT WITH STUDENTS WHILE ON THE SCHOOL PREMISES.
  • DRESS AS THOUGH GOING TO CHURCH.  DO NOT WEAR CLOTHING WITH A RELIGIOUS MESSAGE.  FROM A LEGAL PERSPECTIVE WRITTEN WORDS ARE THE SAME AS SPOKEN WORDS.
  • Remember, this is not about you and me.  It is about making the Word of God available to the students.

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”.

 Isaiah 55:11
